Pleasure points Part 1
Love was on overload
She worked with her hands
He worked her with his mind
Nights of penny-pinching and scrap eating was of the past
Mornings of canned sardines and snatching neighbors paper were now nonexistent
Stale, tart morning breath was of the past
She would now awaken his slumber with deep long passion fruit neck kisses
Even still in his sleep, he dreamt vivid dreams of her
And in his dreams
Glitter dances on her coconut oiled body under the moonlight
Her sheer white tunic sways alongside her hips as her hands raised to the sky
She dug her toes deep into the sand and moaned out in love
He woke with her next to him and
They laid in bliss
Relishing their blessings
Chirping birds turned into horn beeps
Horn beeps turned into kids laughter
Kids laughter turned into silence
Only the sun could be heard now with its piercing light that beamed through the dark heavy shades covering the windows
She rose to open the curtains, letting in the light
He tugged at her gown but she continued onto the kitchen
Eventually getting out of bed, he spent the greater part of the afternoon in the bathroom
Sitting on her window ledge next to her prayer plant she sips her tea
Rushing out of the bathroom now fully dress he pecks her on the cheek and shoots for the door
She watches him from the window get into his car while checking his phone
He speeds off
Her phone rings
She walks over to the nightstand and picks it up
"Hello" her voice cracks
"I love you, I'm sorry I rushed out," He says
She goes to respond but a knock is heard at the door
"Hold on" She puts the phone down
Still holding her tea "Who is it?" She calls out while heading for her mahogany private glass door
A shadow appears
She calls out once more "Who is it?"
There's a knock three times
She drops her teacup and it cracks off in pieces
She kneels down only picking up the handle
The door opens
Looking up she reaches out her hand in disbelief as she's helped off the floor
She thinks to herself This is how nightmares start
The words "Why now" creep from her lips and she puts her head down
Still, on the phone you can hear "Baby, what's going on? Who is that? Baby!"
Phone disconnects
