Savannah cries too

She asked "Who can I run to"?  and then scrolled the gram, found a picture of him and started crying again.

Read the caption aloud and double tapped the photo. She wasn't present with him on the day of the photo but he looked extremely happy and that made her cry some more.

She scrolled a little longer and there he was again. This time in a group photo with his favorite bucket hat on. She remembered the day he left out the house with that outfit on. He said he was going on a boat with some friends and promised not to fall off. His smile was from ear to ear in the photo. The cries grew deeper.

She sat her phone down for a moment and hung her head down low "Please take this pain away" She spoke to herself as there was no one there.

The phone rang but she didn't answer. It rang again, she still didn't answer.

Around her house were pictures of them, it was pictures of him. Everywhere she looked in her home she saw him, standing there, eating over there, laughing by the window, arguing and leaving out of the door.

She asked "Where do broken hearts go to be fixed"? Thoughts of her past addictions crept in and she remembered the good feeling of not caring and not existing and having the world silent. She needed silence from her silence. She needed an escape from her pain. She never wanted to feel love and then have it taken away again.

Picked back up her phone and messages from Facebook poured in. Questions of "What's next" and "Would you like some company" "I'm here if you need a shoulder or a friend". Pictures of him took over her Facebook. Each one happier then the previous. She sobbed and rocked back and forth. Closed her eyes and envisioned him next to her.

The phone was tossed across the room and cracked. The doorbell rang and rang again. She ignored it and sat in his favorite chair and screamed and she yelled. She stomped her feet to the ground and pounded her fist to her chest. The doorbell continued to ring. She stood up then sat down, stood up again and sat back down. The doorbell was in her head. Ding dong, ding dong, ding dong. The knob on the the front door had a hidden key under a fake rock and the person let themself in.

She was held and they cried together. She was picked off of the ground and was handed some tissues. She was held some more this time a little longer. An outfit had been hanging in the closet for her. She had been avoiding putting it on. Her visitor had went to the closet and grabbed the draped clothing and  handed it to her "It's time to lay your boy to rest".
