Discover your true self

She sat there,

panting, panting, panting,

biting her nails.

Her right leg crossed over to the left then back over to the right.

She looked up, "Yes, I'm here", but no one was there.

With the urge to escape she jumped and scrambled the four corners of the room.

Each corner of the room perfectly decorated with floral accents, green bouquets and purple bouquets.

The Golden Pothos hung from the ceiling, draping the floor.

The vining of the plants insinuated choking.

So she stood there and forgot how to breathe.

Her chest caved in and her back grew heavy, she was hunched over like she had kyphosis.

Panting, panting, panting.

She grabbed onto the back of the chair, soft white fur and found small brail like abrasions.

It calmed her back down so she sat back down.

Her phone was on vibrate to ignore the calls but she could feel it shaking and shifting in her bag.

Shaking, shifting, shaking, shifting,

The door pushed open, her clogged ears could barely hear, "Mrs, sorry to,  waiting,  I'm Dr."

Not making out everything that the Dr. said, she reached out her hand to shake, the sweat poured off.

"Yes, Dr." Looking down at the desk sign and read it aloud "Dr. Cassidy, Behavior Specialist."

She yells out "Ugh, I just want them to be quiet. You hear them" They get louder and louder each day. Those damn birds"

"Please take a seat" Dr. Cassidy signals. Her hearing goes out again.  "From the records we have on file and test you've take, womp, womp, womp, womp, womp, you suffer from, womp, womp , womp, personality."

"Okay but I'm here about my baby." She cries out.

Looking confused, the doctor ask "What baby?"

"My baby that I'm holding" She puts her arms up "See." She giggles "Help me with my baby."
